Boiling Waterproof (BWP) plywood is manufactured with undiluted synthetic resins to withstand prolonged water exposure without delaminating. Commercial plywood uses urea-formaldehyde resin and is only suitable for dry areas like living room furniture, as it cannot withstand moisture.

Because kitchens face high humidity, plumbing leaks, and Bengal's extreme monsoons, BWP (Boiling Waterproof) plywood is the only correct specification for kitchen cabinets. Using commercial plywood here guarantees swelling and structural failure.
